Hey y’all, I’m Heidi Hill from Cape Canaveral, Florida. I’m currently working on my master’s degree in animal science from the University of Florida while paralleling my passion for the ocean and the great outdoors. From the time I was a little girl who could barely see over the gunnel, boats have always been my play pin. I frequently travel the waters of Florida, Louisiana, Bahamas, Costa Rica, and Cabo. I mainly offshore fish, but I certainly love inshore as well. I am a certified level II Nitrox diver and an avid free diver. Some of my most outstanding experiences is being four atmospheres deep hunting for 8-lb. lobster, trailing shrimp boats to free-dive and spear yellowfin tuna, as well as spearing grouper while diving. Still, of course, the fight up top on rod and reel with friends and family is my favorite. Most of my fishing endeavors currently occur alongside my father on our recreational 45′ CABO or alongside my best friend, Captain Blake Rigby, owner of Tripletail Charters in Venice Louisiana, whom I deckhand for. Wahoo, mahi-mahi, grouper, and snapper are my favorite fish to capture photos with and of course filet and prepare for dinner.
